How to Cope with Stress and Bring Peace into your Life
In this ever-changing world of financial market instability, covid restrictions and employment worries, it’s hard to keep track of our focus and priorities. Should we be focusing on our lifestyles and therefore our health, or should we be in survival mode with our head down and pushing full steam ahead?
The secret is somewhere in the middle.
What you are currently playing out, comes from a series of decisions made yesterday and in the past, so it would be wrong to live today as if it was the be-all and end-all of everything. Every decision we make will have an action and therefore a consequence, so I always advise people to really focus on what they want to feel tomorrow and who they want to be. This will allow the stress of today to somewhat take less of a centre stage in your life, and it will also allow for hope to kick in.
At this moment in time, you really want to be focusing on your deliciousness and your potential. You are already living yesterday’s thinking and you are already in the now; So, let’s design tomorrow!
When we desire more of something, we get more of it, and when we moan about something a lot, we get more of that. It’s universal law I’m afraid.
So, let’s take a breather and let’s fill our boots with some self-boosting observations that we have about ourselves.
Start everyday writing at least 20 compliments down about yourself, things like, ‘I love how dynamic I am!’, ‘I love how I light up a room when I walk into it’, ‘I actually really love my arms and how strong they are’, and so on. What this will do is create a more loving place to live and breathe from, but it will also stabilise your feelings from focusing on the challenges, to focusing on what there is to be grateful for. Once you do that, then you allow that energy to flow around you like an aura.
Do you ever look at someone and just compliment them? And do you find that the more you work on something the more it gets noticed? You create an energy of allowing, people pick up on it, and it works the other way too. For example, if you don’t like something about yourself, you can feel like others are just looking at that one thing.
Spend today loving yourself and tomorrow you will enjoy your day more. You will attract better opportunities people will shift to compliment the energy you’re in.
Here are some tips on controlling anxiety a bit better:
- Ask yourself, what and who do I need to be today to have a better tomorrow?
- Spend every night going through the highlights of your day.
- Find the funny side. A sense of humour gets you through most things – I promise.
And remember this, you are more in control than you often realise, and miracles do happen. Keep the faith ok…
Love always and positive vibes only,
