The Last Mile: Brompton x Pivotal Celebrate Movement, Community and Exploration
The power of movement has always sat at the heart of wellbeing, whether it is the simple pleasure of walking through a neighbourhood or setting off on a journey into new surroundings. The upcoming launch of The Last Mile, a two-part film series created by Brompton and Pivotal, places this idea of everyday exploration at its centre. Ahead of the event taking place at Brompton Junction in Covent Garden, we take a closer look at what the films promise to reveal about community, connection and the freedom to move.

According to the official press release, the collaboration brings together two British brands with a shared belief in designing products that enhance how we navigate our surroundings. Brompton has long championed the independence and flexibility of its iconic folding bikes, while Pivotal, the luxury car subscription service from Jaguar Land Rover, focuses on providing seamless access to vehicles without long term ownership commitments. Their partnership frames mobility not as a single mode of transport but as a lifestyle. Movement becomes fluid, adaptable and accessible, whether on four wheels or two.
The first film features celebrated chef Sally Abé and award winning food critic Jimi Famurewa. Their story explores the importance of community, provenance and place, inviting viewers to reflect on how the landscapes around us influence the food we value and the people we share it with. For readers interested in mindful eating and the origins of the meals that support our wellbeing, this narrative sits close to home. You can explore more about mindful eating in our Food category at Wellbeing Magazine.

The second film introduces model and cyclist Duke Kwadwo and filmmaker Johno Verity, best known for capturing the quiet beauty of dawn rides in London. Their story focuses on movement as meditation. Early morning cycling, with its calm air and gentle pace, has long been linked to lowered stress levels and improved mental clarity. It aligns with the principles we explore in our Mind category, where the relationship between activity and emotional balance is often highlighted.
Both films are shot in a documentary style by director George Marshall, whose past work with Rapha and Brompton blends authenticity with a cinematic eye. The resulting series promises to offer more than product storytelling. It aims to celebrate the lived human experience of moving through the world with intention and curiosity.
As we prepare to attend the launch on the 27th of November, we look forward to discovering how these journeys unfold on screen. Movement, connection and exploration remain essential pillars of wellbeing, and The Last Mile appears ready to spotlight all three.
