20 August 2026, London – The Secrets from a Coach podcast hosted by wellness coach Debbie Green at Wishfish and TEDx speaker Laura Thomson-Staveley at Phenomenal Training this week celebrates its 300th episode.

Marking a journey that began during lockdown in September 2020, the podcast has since exceeded 72,000 downloads, with 78% of listeners living outside the UK and 81% listening via their mobile phones. The podcast has ranked in the Best Life Coach, Workplace and Leadership UK Podcasts by Million Podcasts and receives a consistent 4.9-star rating on Spotify. The first episode, on imposter syndrome, remains the archive’s most revisited.

Since then, the team has committed to weekly recordings with special guests, evolving in recent years from stand-alone episodes into themed monthly mini-series, each unpacking a single workplace topic across three to five conversations.

Episode 300 is part of the August Reset, Relax and Unwind summer series – outlining five tips for relaxing the mind enabling listeners to shift into holiday mode.

Debbie Green, wellness coach at Wishfish, said: “Three hundred episodes feels surreal! When Lau and I sat down to record our first episode, we wanted to have useful, honest conversations. We never imagined we’d still be doing it six years and this many Fridays later, while still having a ball! Huge thanks to everyone who’s been tuning in.”

Laura Thomson-Staveley, L&D consultant at Phenomenal Training, said: “What keeps this show going is the community around it – the guests who’ve trusted us with their expertise, the listeners who message us with a lightbulb moment, and Airaphon Ltd, who always deliver top quality audio and video. We’ve loved every minute of this journey, here’s to the next 300 episodes!”

Recent key themes for the podcast include:

June: Working Parents

June’s four-part series examined the identity shift that comes with returning to work after having a child including the pressure to perform, workplace perceptions and the often unspoken move from ‘colleague’ to ‘parent’.

July: Quality Human Thinking

July’s five-part series asked what kind of thinking stays uniquely human in an AI-ready workplace; covering compassionate thinking, team dynamics, strategic and reflective thinking as skills to sharpen rather than outsource.

August: Reset, Relax and Unwind

August’s Reset, Relax and Unwind summer series shares practical tips for making the most of time away from work, helping listeners properly switch off and recharge. With guest contributions throughout, the series looks at how to properly leave work mode behind. A good listen for anyone feeling wound up and ready to switch off.
