Sip Your Way to Deeper Sleep

Sleep, it becomes elusive to all of us at some point and for a myriad of reasons.

I’ve tried herbal teas, lavender baths, silk eye masks, Epsom salts, magnesium spray and a new discovery which I’m thrilled to share, actually works – TEN PM’s Night Drink. This Delicious Hot Chocolate Drink is a Dream

I used to be a brilliant sleeper, any place, anytime, anywhere. Since I hit my 40s it’s become a little less regular, a lot shorter and much to the annoyance of my partner, a lot more restless.

Sleeplessness is hellish.

Since I’ve had bouts of insomnia over the years, supplements, products, routines, and drinks to aid sleep have been on my radar for quite some time. I value my Zzzz highly and when it comes to quality sleep I will always invest in it as it’s priceless.

After a restorative night you feel so much happier and healthier. Without good sleep, well you know yourself.

Mental Health UK  say it’s recommended that adults up to the age of 64, need 7-9 hours of sleep per night and 66% of adolescents cite poor sleep as negatively impacting on their mental health.

When I was wee, my Gran used to make us Horlicks, I’ve been a fan of Viridian’s Cherry Night for more than a decade and my new go to drink of an evening is now TEN PM’s Night Drink.

I wasn’t sure about drinking hot chocolate as I thought perhaps the sugar would keep me awake – however this isn’t the case with this as it contains natural cacao with zero sugar.

Cacao powder naturally contains magnesium serotonin and tryptophan. These chemicals have been linked to reduced symptoms of depression and can help calm the body and mind. They also promote better sleep which is also associated with better mood.

While incredibly being keto friendly, dairy and gluten free, vegan and 100% natural,TEN PM Night Drinks also contain sleep-inducing ingredients like L-Glycine, Passionflower, L-Theanine, Magnesium, Zinc and Vitamin B6 and has only 23 calories and only 0.1g of plant sugars per cup.

Don’t ask me how this works scientifically because I don’t have all the answers but I have done my research!

According to this piece in Psychology, cacao helps reduce stress and improve sleep-related cardiovascular biomarkers.

TEN PM Night Drink

This is a natural and organic product with zero nasties.

The Night Drink contains over 60% of organic cacao powder (which is the raw, healthier and unprocessed version of cocoa), not only creates a rich, chocolatey and delicious taste but also provides an abundance of health benefits such as:

Organic cacao powder retains more minerals and antioxidants than processed cocoa powder and even contains 40 times the antioxidants in blueberries! These improve cholesterol and blood sugar levels, ultimately reducing the risk of heart disease. It contains another powerful antioxidant agent called flavonoids known to have anti-inflammatory and vasodilatory properties.

I’ve been drinking this hot chocolate now for 5 weeks and it’s helped me get to sleep and more importantly, kept asleep with no feelings of grogginess the next day.

Each pack has 20 servings and can be enjoyed with any type of milk or water and is best to use every night so that your body accumulates and experiences the benefits of the vitamins and minerals in the Night Drink.

One pack is £25 so each cup is £1.25 (although there are large savings to be had if you purchase more than one pack) and I advise enjoying it in your most favourite big cup as this is a hug in a mug.  New customers to TEN PM also benefit from 15% off the first order by signing up to their newsletter.

You can’t put a price on a good night’s sleep but if you value yours, TEN PM’s Night Drink comes highly recommended from someone who really appreciates the products and routines which deliver, this one will see you head to the land of nod.

Read more on the benefits and order yours on TEN PM’s website.
