If a simple creature like an amoeba could have evolved by changing its form to optimise its survival in its environment, why should it not be possible for the universe to do the same?
Just as here on Earth there is a wide variety of species, from the simplest to the most intelligent and imaginative (such as man), so it may be that in the universe there are pockets of highly developed systems, including life systems like our own at higher levels of intelligence and consciousness.
Man may be just one of many more highly evolved species and still evolving!
How far man has evolved can be judged by how well he has adapted optimally to his environment. The obvious answer is not well enough. No successful species evolved to a higher state by destroying its environment, which is precisely what man is doing today.
It would seem that, to effect a significant change in human behaviour, we need a new generation of leaders with exceptional wisdom and understanding, as well as the ability to engage the majority of mankind.
Currently, we have leaders who fit well with the challenges of the past hundred years but are now totally unfit to meet the challenges of today and the next century. Their level of consciousness is not much higher than that of our primate ancestors. Their vision and understanding of the present challenges is totally inadequate, and therefore they are leading us towards an existential crisis for mankind.
Perhaps there will not be a third world war between men, but we are already losing the real third world war that has arisen between mankind and Gaia!
Gaia will survive. It has done so for millions of years, but unless mankind seeks an enduring peace by giving the Earth the respect and support it needs, there will be no future for modern man. As already stated, mankind will have to raise its consciousness to a new higher level. As Dr Tony Nader explains in his great book “Consciousness is All There Is!”
