Yes, that’s true. And you are human, which means you have an ego, an image, and a view of who you are and what you are, based on all the life experiences you have had up to this stage in your life.
As a baby, your ego was almost nonexistent, and if you could ask any baby if they feel they are a miracle, if they could speak, the answer would almost certainly be yes. In fact, it is quite common for everyone who sees a newborn baby to declare they are seeing a miracle before their very eyes!
However, by the time we reach the age of seven, we have acquired the basics of our ego, which is no more than a self-assessment of who we are based on all that has happened to us since our birth. From then on, all our misconceptions or lack of understanding of why we have behaved or thought in such a way become more established as the “true you”.
Though the true reality of the real “you” gets pushed to one side, and the idea that you are the greatest, the wisest, the most caring, the most understanding, the most whole person that you are, the miracle that you are, is rejected by your programmed ego.
Some people are lucky to experience life-changing events that have shocked their ego assumptions, and then begin to reconnect with reality, mankind, and the universe of which we are all an integral part.

It is increasingly being recognised by leaders in the field of science and philosophy that there is no separation between each of us individuals and the entire universe. The best demonstration or explanation of this, for me, was found in a book written by Deepak Chopra entitled “You Are The Universe.”
It inspired me to write my small book, coming from a different viewpoint, entitled: “Be Your Own Doctor of Health & Happiness – You Are a Miracle!”
Perhaps I should have entitled the book simply, “You Are a Miracle!” but I believed that would put off more people from reading the book than the title I finished with, which has a practical ring to it. The realisation that each and every one of us is a miracle might arise from the more practical everyday advice on health and wholeness the book gives.
My advice is, for all of us, to take a moment to ponder the possibility that we are far more than just the “I”, the ego we have created for ourselves, and that our reality is far closer to being a miracle – and the universe – than most of us realise!
