Wellbeing Magazine was born from a simple but radical belief: that health deserves curiosity, nuance and honesty — not censorship, sensationalism or soundbites.
Our Story
Founder and Editor-in-Chief Rachel Branson began her career in B2B publishing. But in 2005, driven by her own questions about health, healing and the human body, she stepped away from the familiar and began studying naturopathic medicine.
What she discovered was both illuminating and frustrating.
So much of what she was learning — about prevention, root causes, nervous system health, nutrition, nature, energy and integrative approaches — simply wasn’t being discussed in the media. And when it was, it was often dismissed as too alternative, too controversial, or *too complex for public conversation.
Rachel felt there was a gap.
And more importantly, a responsibility.
In 2006, she launched a small, independent wellbeing magazine in Tunbridge Wells, not as a reaction against mainstream media, but as an invitation to expand the conversation. The goal was never to tell people what to believe — but to give space to ideas, experiences and approaches that deserved thoughtful exploration.
From Local Roots to a Global Voice
Over the years, Wellbeing Magazine grew organically. What began as a local publication evolved into multiple regional editions across the UK, then into digital platforms reaching readers worldwide.
As the world moved faster and screens became ever more dominant, the magazine evolved too — embracing digital reach while staying grounded in its original values: depth over noise, integrity over trends, and lived experience over hype.
In 2025, Wellbeing Magazine returned to print — not out of nostalgia, but with intention.
Our print edition is designed to be Slow — inviting presence, not distraction, Tactile — printed to order on environmentally conscious paper, Considered — free from clickbait, clutter and overwhelm.
Each issue is filled with carefully written editorial pieces that inspire, inform and uplift, accompanied by stunning photography and illustrations that feed the soul as much as the mind.
The simple act of turning the pages becomes a grounding ritual.
This is not disposable content. It’s a keepsake — something you return to, share, annotate and treasure.
More Than a Magazine
Wellbeing Magazine is not about quick fixes or wellness trends. It is about relationship — with the body, with nature, with community, and with the deeper questions of how we live well.
Our editorial approach blends:
- credible science and integrative medicine
- nature-based healing and environmental connection
- spirituality, creativity and inner work
- honest conversations about midlife, change and becoming
Every story is chosen because it has been tried, tested, lived or deeply explored.
