City Lit is excited to announce the eagerly awaited Mental Wealth Festival 2023, set to run from October 9th to 14th. In partnership with Bloomsbury Festival, Beyond Words, and the National Gallery to name a few.

This edition of the festival places a spotlight on the power of connections, delving into how these connections bolster and elevate mental health and overall well-being. It rejoices in the diverse avenues through which we link with others, ourselves, and the world, showcased through a compelling line-up of free or affordable activities. These offerings encompass dynamic interactive talks, insightful panel discussions, and engaging workshops, both in-person and accessible online.

Highlights of the Mental Wealth Festival 2023

Inspiring Conversations:
Join us for engaging discussions, workshops, and exhibitions that delve into diverse aspects of mental health and self-care. Discover invaluable insights and practical strategies to nurture your mental wellbeing.

Powerful Speakers:
Our line-up features inspiring individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of mental health and wellness. They include Psychologist and coach Jess Baker; former Premier League footballer Clarke Carlisle and his wife Carrie a successful journalist, who will share a candid and emotional perspective on mental health and relationships; Rob Stephenson, an international keynote speaker and mental health campaigner; and more.

Artistic Expression:
Experience the profound connection between creativity and mental health through exhibitions and sessions led by artists including co-curator of the festival Ian Tucknott, and also Naila Dunleavy, Richard D France, Keith Clapson and Tanvi Kant. These creative voices will highlight how art can contribute to healing and self-discovery.

The festival’s program is continuously evolving with new events added daily.

City Lit have achieved remarkable success in their recent Ofsted inspection. The inspection, conducted in May 2023, recognised City Lit as an ‘exceptional institution’, and highlighted the outstanding quality of education they provide. City Lit received an ‘outstanding’ rating across all areas, including quality of education, adult learning programs, overall behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management.
