The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on 25th May 2018 and sets out requirements for all businesses about how data is collected and managed. Under these rules, the privacy policy for how your data is collected and managed has been updated below.
What information is being collected?
If you have either requested information about Wellbeing Magazine at an event or in person or completed a form on our website then your name and email have been added to our database. If you have requested information or subscribed using the forms on our website then your information will be held in Typeform, Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor. We use these platforms to store and send you relevant information. We only store, your name, email and business name if you are a business.
Who is collecting it?
Wellbeing Magazine and Wellbeing Magazine East Sussex collect information from individuals and businesses who would like information about the magazine and website and Individuals who consent to receive newsletters from the magazine
How is it collected?
When you fill in a capture form on the website, your data is captured at point of entry. When you agree to receive marketing materials your data is collected through Typeform, Mailchimp and Campaign Monitor. If we have met you at an event or in person and you have requested information your details will be added to Campaign Monitor.
Why is it being collected?
Your name and email are collected in order to identify individuals or businesses who would like further information about the magazine or to receive notification of new articles, promotions or competitions. This also allows you to make any changes to the information you receive. You will only receive information if you have given your active consent.
How will it be used?
Data collected through Typeform, Mailchimp and Campaign Monitor is used to create a list of those who wish to receive marketing communications, you will only receive information relevant to the request for which you signed up.
Who will it be shared with?
Your data will not be shared with any other party. In cases of competitions we may share your details with the company supplying the prize, however this will be made clear at the time of entering a competition.
What will be the effect of this on the individuals concerned?
If you wish to receive marketing communications you will give consent by completing the forms on our website. If active consent is not received, then you will not receive any marketing materials, newsletters, promotions or other similar communications.
