The Delphine’s Curated Mini Library for Book and Cocktail Lovers

Glasgow’s newest venue, The Delphine in Princes Square, has unveiled a curated boutique library where guests can enjoy expertly mixed cocktails and mocktails while browsing a hand-picked collection of popular reads.

The library has been created with a simple concept: pair a good book with a great drink in a stylish, welcoming space. Guests will find the shelves arranged by colour, creating an eye-catching focal point for the bar and making the book-browsing experience as visually pleasing as it is enjoyable. The selection features fan favourites including Jilly Cooper,  EL James, Lisa Jewell, Adele Parks, Paige Toon, and Glasgow’s own bestselling author Sophie Gravia.

The collection has been curated by Heather Suttie, founder of Bookface, one of the UK’s most successful book clubs. Known for connecting readers online and in real life, Heather brings a wealth of literary knowledge and community spirit to the project. Her keen eye for crowd-pleasing titles ensures there is something on the shelves for every taste – from romantic escapism to gripping thrillers.

Heather is no stranger to mixing books with a vibrant social setting. She regularly hosts the Bookface Sip & Swap at The Delphine’s sister venue, Glaschu. Later this month, Glaschu will welcome special guest Adele Parks MBE, one of the UK’s best-selling novelists, for an exclusive Bookface Sip & Swap event. Heather will be hosting events in The Delephine in the coming months.

“The idea for the library at The Delphine was to create a space where people could slow down, relax, and enjoy the pleasure of reading in good company,” said Courtney Flynn, Head of Sales, PR & Comms. “You can come in for a cocktail and leave with your next great read. We’ve worked with Heather for five years on hugely successful book events, so she is the perfect librarian for us!”

The Delphine’s bar team has crafted a menu of signature cocktails and alcohol-free options to complement the reading experience. Guests can choose from classics, contemporary twists, or refreshing mocktails – the perfect pairing for an hour spent curled up with a book.

Princes Square, already known for its mix of style, food, and culture, is the perfect home for The Delphine’s concept. The venue’s chic interiors and central location make it an ideal spot for after-work drinks, weekend catch-ups, or solo visits for those wanting a quiet moment away from the bustle of Buchanan Street.

The mini library will be refreshed regularly, with new titles and seasonal themes keeping the selection fresh. The colour-coded shelves will also change over time, adding an extra touch of theatre to each visit.

With its mix of literature, drinks, and atmosphere, The Delphine’s curated boutique library offers Glasgow book lovers a new way to combine their favourite pastimes.
