Can you help bring this children’s ‘tail’ to life – a book for children to support children 

A local author and Illustrator are looking for support to raise funds to publish a book for children.

“Cat, Mouse and the Old Crooked House” is the heartwarming ‘tail’ of an unlikely friendship between a cat and a little mouse, brought together with beautiful illustrations and a rhyming pattern little ones will love. It is a delightful story for pre-school and early primary school aged children (and big kids alike!)  

The process of creating Cat and Mouse has been therapeutic for both the author and illustrator who were going through their own psychological challenges at the time. In tribute to this and with funding in the area of mental health and children’s mental health being particularly problematic, once published we would like to support the raising of funds (through percentage donations of each copy sold) to support charities working with children in this area.

The essential and great work they do in supporting young people, parents and organisations in promoting and dealing with mental health issues is vital to the health and wellbeing of our future generations.  

In order to get published and support the causes we need to raise at least £2,500 and spread awareness of the great work this book will do once it is in print; supporting the community at both a local and national level.

Once published we will be happy to visit children’s activity groups, schools, pre schools and nurseries to share the book with the youngsters and perform readings.
