Dr. Shea Tinsley

Dr. Shea Tinsley is an award-winning licensed psychotherapist, radio host on WTJU 91.1, and a university instructor at the University of Michigan’s Sexual Health Program. A certified MSTI and AASECT sex therapist, Dr. Shea is passionate about advancing sexology-informed clinical care. In 2021, Dr. Shea was awarded a research fellowship in clinical sexology, and in 2023, she presented her original research on sexology-informed clinical reasoning principles at three national conferences: The Society for Personality and Social Psychology Annual Convention, the Society for Sex Therapy and Research 48th Annual Meeting, and the Association of Black Sexologists and Clinicians Lecture Series. Dr. Shea is the principal facilitator of an international training course for licensed therapists titled, “How to Think Like a Sex Therapist.”
