Best fitness tips to incorporate in our life

Maggie Paterson, Ballet and Yoga teacher, is passionate about health and fitness and has put together some easy tips you can incorporate in your life:

1. Go for a walk aim to do 10,000 steps a day and at a slightly faster pace than your average walking speed.

2. Make the time to walk whenever possible instead of taking the car bus or train.

3. Take the stairs instead of the lift.

4. Go for a swim or cycle ride.

5. Join a dance class or follow a free session available on platforms such as you tube

6. Enlist on free trial to join an app for example Yogaglo with thousands of fitness and yoga sessions of all levels and duration.

7. Join a local yoga session to also exercise the mind (and walk there and back to get in a few extra steps!)

8. Salsa and dance the night away with friends, pop on some music and have some fun at the same time as getting fit!

Maggie is also the Co-Founder of Sunsetbay Retreats (https://www.sunsetbayretreats.com), which offers five stars retreats throughout the year in the charming seaside town of Tywyn in Wales, a little gem surrounded by beaches, waterfalls, lakes and mountains all within walking distance.

Each offers a wide range of well-being activities, allowing the guests to experience a wealth of holistic treatments, yoga practices and outdoor activities such as scenic walks with local guides, wild swimming and paddle boarding – all complimented by nourishing and healthy food prepared daily by cherry-picked chefs.

Relaxation plays an important role at each Sunsetbay Retreat: every guest is gifted with a complimentary massage to enjoy during the stay, and can take advantage of the hot tub in the Zen Garden, wrap-up in a blanket by the fire pit or socialise by the log burner at any time.
