Dirty Laundry gets an airing at the Edinburgh International Festival Fringe

Laughter is a form of medicine, a tonic and an escape from the rough and ( tumble ) dry of the daily grind and if you’re planning on heading to Edinburgh this summer then we highly recommend checking out Dirty Laundry, a one-of-a-kind split bill comedy show.

It arrives at Leith Depot for three nights only, during the Edinburgh International Festival Fringe. The show is made up of a trio of performers – Stevie Mitchell, Kat Connelly, and Roger Gunn, three talented pals share a knack for storytelling and who will bare all, literally airing and sharing their dirty laundry for laughs and giggles.

Edinburgh International Festival Fringe is the world’s largest performing arts festival and a prestigious platform for aspiring comedians and artists to showcase their talents. Dirty Laundry’s debut at this renowned event is a testament to the trio’s comedic abilities and dedication to their craft.

The journey of Dirty Laundry began on a cold, dark night last October when Stevie Mitchell, Kat Connelly, and Roger Gunn attended a comedy course led by Scottish comedian Viv Gee.

The course provided aspiring comedians with an opportunity to raise funds for cancer research, a cause close to their hearts. For Stevie and Kat, it was a bucket list item, a chance to step out of their comfort zones for a worthwhile cause. Roger, with his early experiences in the comedy circuit, saw it as an opportunity to refine his skills and contribute to the charity.

From Castlemilk to California, from apprentice to senior manager, and from a brainless, immature man-child to… well, the next chapter is yet to unfold. Stevie Mitchell’s story will make you laugh, make you cry, but above all, make you feel better about your own life.

Kat Connelly is passionate about the Scots language and is the powerhouse behind the hugely popular comedy, poetry and illustration Yer Awrite account on Instagram. Kat has fans from all over the world as she shares her unique brand of humour with her 36 000 fans, she is also a published author. Divorced but not defeated, Kat finds the funny in relationships, religion, grief, and mental health, one anxiety attack at a time.

Roger Gunn, a former nightclub bouncer, takes audiences on a wild ride from the high life in the Highlands to the low life of Glasgow. He shares unbelievable stories of drunken brawls, crazy strippers, and overall bad life decisions, all for the comedic enjoyment of the audience.

With their unique perspectives and comedic talents, Dirty Laundry promises an evening of unforgettable entertainment. On rinse and repeat, these shows are for three nights only!
